Helping our colleagues in Cebu & Bohol who have been affected by Super Typhoon Odette (Rai)

Our Cause

The recent Super-typhoon Odette (Rai) with its strong winds and heavy rains has left Cebu and Bohol in disarray affecting our fellow colleagues(team members). Our team members in Cebu and Bohol have severely damaged houses and most are without a roof. Furthermore, there is a disruption to potable water(drinking water), sanitation and electricity. Our team members in Cebu and Bohol are greatly in need of support and this funding initiative would help with easing some of their financial expenses.

Any donation made would go a long way in helping our team members who are affected by this unfortunate event and even more so during the end year/festive period. Let’s spread the festive goodwill by helping out our teammates in need.

We will notify you via email if you do leave your email on how we have disbursed the money and also provide details on who is involved with this funding initiative. We have also attached some images of the actual damage in Cebu & Bohol for reference.

This is not an 8x8 Initiative and instead, this initiative is spearheaded by fellow team members who wish to help our friends&colleagues in need. This initiative is appealing to the larger public audience for their support as well.

Q: How many are affected?
A: 19 at the current moment

Q: How are you determining who are in need of help?
A: We base our criteria for team members who are physically located in Cebu during the occurrence of Super-typhoon Odette(Rai)

Q: How will the money be disbursed?
A: We do acknowledge that this is an unfortunate incident however we have to allocate the donated funds in a responsible manner. We have come up with 3 levels of damage (Low, Moderate and severete) to ascertain the impact on the individuals. Money will be distributed with consideration on the level of damage. The quantum of the amount will be higher for those with severe impact.
