The Auction | 爱的拍卖

Hello! We are a group of students from NTU, School of Art, Design & Media, looking to fund our final year thesis film "The Auction, 爱的拍卖".

The Auction is a fantasy short film about love & desire. Failure to escape a marriage proposal, Gloria is forced to choose contentment over ambition. The Restaurant soon turns into The Auction where Gloria reveals her deeply buried desires and confronts her hunger for a better life.

It has been close to a year of trials and triumphs as we work tirelessly to perfect this story on screen. This filmmaking process has been an honest exploration of what is enough to feel truly contented with life. In this mad rat race, we often find ourselves comparing with others. Am I successful? Do I earn enough? Is my house lavish enough? These doubts are made worse with societal expectations that we have grown accustomed to since young.

While we are in the final stages of post-production, we hope our film will provide a safe harbor for those who share the same woes - that it is okay to question, to doubt or even to fight for your own definition of happiness.
