Please Help Notty’s Medical Bills and Surgery

Hi friends! My cat, Notty or Girl Girl, went missing on Thursday, 18 August 2022. We found Notty at SPCA on Tuesday, 23 August 2022, and SPCA told us they suspected she may have fallen off a high floor (I live on the 2nd floor). SPCA had suggested we bring her to a hospital for further checkups as she had a fractured jaw. SPCA had done surgery to stitch the roof of her mouth, and they inserted a feeding tube.

We brought her to a vet hospital (VES Hospital @ Whitley). We found out Notty would need to be hospitalised to stabilise her condition and get a CT scan and neurology examination. They also suspected that Notty's right limb was not responding well when they were checking her body, which is why a neurology examination is required.

The deposit for hospitalisation was a whopping $1k, including the blood test and necessary measures to stabilise her would cost up to $2k. If they were to proceed with a CT scan which requires anaesthesia followed by a neurology examination, the total bill would be up to $3.5-$3.7k. And all these costs are just for the initial investigation stage to determine whether she requires further surgeries or treatment.

Being the sole breadwinner of the family, I had other considerations. My father also has medical conditions which require monthly visits to the hospital. And I didn't have the means to pay for Notty's bills.

We brought Notty home last night, and the next five days are crucial to her. We'll need to see whether she gets better or gets worst. But we want her to recover as cats with feeding tubes will not have a long life and may deteriorate quickly. She is also unable to walk due to her right limb. Notty is five years old, and she's been living with us for the past three years. We don't want to lose her now, she's a part of our family.
