Please help Jersey

With a broken heart, I share the news that our sweet boy Jersey has been diagnosed with severe degenerative ligaments in both of his hind legs.

He has been in pain for a long, long time and we have done our absolute best to give him the most comfortable life that we can. But that isn't enough anymore.

On Saturday, we found out that both of his hind legs have reached a point where they can no longer function without two invasive knee surgeries.

If you have met him, you love him. If you haven't, all I can say is that he is a gentle giant, armed with an old soul. He is only 3 years old and he has been the rock in our family since the day we brought him home. We simply cannot imagine a life without him - or a life where he is in continuous pain.

Dogs are very stoic creatures and although he does his best, we know that he cannot continue living this way. He is scheduled to undergo his first surgery on February 10th, 2021, and the second one 8-12 weeks later, dependant on his recovery.

I absolutely hate to have to ask for help but the truth is that we desperately need it. After a summer of tumultuous pain and financial hardship, we simply cannot afford it on our own.

We are eternally grateful for the support that we have received thus far and simply cannot thank you enough for your generosity and love.
