Campaign Story
Our lovely helper/nanny Charlene tragically and very unexpectedly passed away last week following a brain hemorrhage. Charlene was only 42 years old and her sudden death has been a horrific shock for her family in the Philippines.
Charlene was a single mother with 2 teenage sons, John and Renz, and was the sole provider for her family. She had been unable to visit her sons for 4 years which makes this even more heart-breaking, she was so proud of them and was only recently telling me with pride about how tall they had grown.
Charlene was incredibly kind-hearted, gentle and trustworthy with a great sense of fun. Since her passing I have spoken with and got to know her friends and family who have all been devastated by the loss of this wonderful woman who didn’t have a bad bone in her body, she was somebody who would go out of her way to help her friends.
She had dedicated her life and worked hard to provide a future and home for her sons and for her elderly mother and sisters. Her greatest wish was that her sons finish their education so that they could find good jobs. While she was in a coma in hospital her sons sent me messages to read to her promising to do everything they can to fulfil her dreams for them.
This is where you come in! This Christmas we are asking our friends to help support this very good cause and donate to support Charlene’s sons so that they can finish their education and the house that their mother had worked so hard to build. Anything helps and thank you in advance so much for your support.

Incredibly sad news and really can’t imagine what her boys must be feeling right now. Sending our deepest condolences! Alice and Jules
