Norwich Activism Fundraiser (Stands4Change, DxE Norwich, NARA, NLMAV)

The aim of this fundraiser is to provide Norwich/Norfolk animal rights groups with the funds, resources and materials needed to effectively campaign for total animal liberation. We have a dedicated, passionate team of activists in the area, but a lack of funds has often limited our efforts and potential reach. We are in the process of setting up a DxE chapter and Stands4Change (a model of street outreach conceived by Joey Carbstrong).

Already established, we have the Norwich Livestock Market Animal Vigils (NLMAV), previously operated under the Save Movement, and NARA (Norfolk Animal Rights Activism).

NLMAV entails a fortnightly vigil-cum-protest outside Norwich's archaic livestock market, during which we document the animal slaves being sold like commodities, with the intention of showing the public these sentient beings for the individuals they are. This also serves as a demonstration, putting pressure on animal farmers and the unjust system that allows them to abuse these defenseless beings with impunity.

NARA carry out a diverse range of activism--targeting both arising and long-standing issues pertinent to animal rights--including chalking events, the Earthlings Experience, protests outside fast food chains, Sealife, Yarmouth's greyhound stadium and shops that sell fur to name but a few. We also take to the streets informing the public about vivisection, zoonotic pandemics, the use of animals for 'sport' and all other forms of animal abuse. We are always looking for new and innovative ways of reaching non-vegans and promoting the vegan ethos.
