Memory is a Weapon is a theatre project which I've been working on for many years. With the help of some talented and generous people I have finally gotten this story scripted and ready to move into rehearsal before we stage it at Artscape Theatre in May 2021.
Funding in the arts in general is a challenge, but when you are a small fish in a mighty ocean it becomes even more challenging. This funding initiative is to pay artists for rehearsal and to secure rehearsal space in preparation for when we stage in May this year.
This is a story of my people, for my people, by my people. It started with a dream, a vision, over a decade ago and now it is here. With your help, we can support the becoming of this work which I hope to turn into a legacy.
