Campaign Story
I grow weary of dire poverty. Living off any free meals, furniture, books, and charming porch decor that I can scrape up is taking its toll. I've been doing it for six years -- undergrad included -- without cessation, and I'd like to put on my Big Girl pants and purchase the following items:
1. A bed that neither collapses nor slouches.
2. A haircut.
3. A desk that doesn't groan under the weight of my elbows or shudder uncomfortably when I slam the door.
4. Underwear.
5. A sewing machine.
Rest assured your donation could one day save your life -- no, I'm serious. What if one fine day, I'm studying on my bed and it collapses just as I get to the paragraph on anaphylactic shock in response to bee stings, an allergy that YOU just happen to have?
What if you stumble into my E.R. ten years down the road and say, "Doc, I got stung by a million bees!" and I'm like, "Oh, sorry, my bed just collapsed in the middle of that paragraph on anaphylactic shock. But don't worry, I've got this..." BUT I'M TOO LATE!
You need your future doctors to study, not whack more nails into their desks and fiddle with their split ends. So donate. The life you save could be your own.
