Campaign Story
My name is Jean Francois Bavajee and my son, Nathan Bavajee, is 5 years old and was admitted with an abdominal pain on the 5th of June 2021 at Clinic Muller.His doctor informed us that his left kidney is not functioning and needs a surgery and the cost during his stay there was MUR 39000.
Nathan has undergone an emergency surgery (Left Anderson-Hynes Pyeloplasty) at Wellkin Hospital and it was this only private hospital where the intervention could be performed.
The total cost of the surgery is M250000 ( the surgery was done 16 of June 2021& removal of stent due mid September 2021),his medical insurance covered only MUR 86,017 and the remaining cost of the surgery will be MUR 164 000. The medical insurance has reached limits leading us to few options which also explain our call for help through the platform.
