Campaign Story
South Africa is in the midst of one of the worst droughts ever recorded and as a result live stock farmers are struggling to feed their animals.
There are many private campaigns to help these farmers as the government is not willing or able to help. There are a lot of other farmers willing to help by donating feed but the big problem is the transport costs and diesel and almost makes it impossible to get the feed where is needs to be.
My passion lies especially with the people of the Karoo town of Beaufort West where farmers don't have any feed, funds or help. Some don't even have funds for diesel to go to town and collect feed.
I've made it my mission to help these farmers as we are also farming with fruit, but are not a hard hit by the drought.
More than 30,000 jobs have been lost in the agricultural sector since January 2018 as a result of persistent drought, and thousands of animals die daily from hunger.
Funds will go to supporting campaigns to deliver feed for the animals in Beaufort West as well as helping farmers financially.
