£649.00raised of £449.00 goal goal
We have received a number of instruments as gifts to help with this project. There's just this one piano that we are hoping to get. Problem is, I need to raise the last amount by end of today.
Please help reach this goal of £449
In an area of economic deprivation, the church building sits amongst the housing scheme sharing Christian love with all who pass by. As a new church, we are seeking ways to be community focussed and in turn to show the love of Christ to young, old and anyone in between.
Music is universal -as is the love of God. Music can be a language without words, it can be useful and relaxing. You don't have to be intelligent or wealthy to play music. We believe that music can help people in illness, and being able to play music for one's self or for others can be a motivator and a blessing.
This is why we want to offer people of any age and background the opportunity to learn to play musical instruments. If enough money is raised it will enable us to buy enough instruments to have group lessons. These lessons will inspire teamwork.
There are lots of aspects of music and technology that can be taught without a natural gifting such as sound and lighting as well as being part of a band (backstage crew, management etc), but there will also be focus on individual learning too, encouraging solo artists to blossom, and allowing space for people to find their gifts in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
The hope is that we can hold some events throughout the year at the church, where people can showcase their new found talents with others in the community and this wonderful project can be shared and enjoyed by many.
