£145.00Donated So Far
In 2016 some of the students from our school will be giving up their summber holidays to volunteer in Cuba. The trip is being organised by Operation Wallacea (charity number 1078362), and in order to pay for the costs the majority of students raise money by charity. Over all each student will need to pay £2500 to pay for thier training, flights, board and so on.
Whilst in Cuba students will be taking part in underwater surveys on a variety of marine species, along with the University of Havana. The reserach they will be doing is vital for the conservation of the coral reed as well as learning more aboud the species that live there.
We'll be raising as much money as possible through a series of fundraising activities including a sponsered leg wax, 12 hour sponsered cycle, bag packing, car washing, cake sales, selling handmade products, raffles and many more.
Thank you to anybody who donates!
