Campaign Story
It’s my birthday on 26 June! Don’t send me birthday presents this year - join me in blessing others instead
I’m at a point in my life where I don’t seek or crave material things to be happy. I thought, why not join up with friends and bless the world by sharing from our abundance with the less fortunate?
I came across Baby Eli when Nana, my good friend from my GIM community, shared about Baby Eli on his Facebook. Baby Eli has a hole in the heart, a life-threatening condition. What stayed with me was the fact that Nana shared that he personally lost a friend to the same condition.
I realise I have been taking healthcare for granted. Unlike Singapore, people from other countries simply have no access to basic healthcare if they cannot afford it. There is no subsidy, no social safety nets.
Baby Eli has not been able to have access care for a few months as her family is struggling to raise money in Africa. Their goal is to fly Eli to India for heart surgery as they do not have facilities to support such an operation in their own country.
So far, they are still trying to raise money but its not enough.
I don’t know about you, but if I was a parent and I had to wait months for my dying child to get surgery, I would freak out!
The recommended amount to donate: > USD 30
If each of us donates USD 30, Baby Eli will be able to get her surgery without DELAY!
I want to thank you for reading all the way till here. I’d like to suggest the following now.
Option #1: Donate to both charities(the other one at bit.ly/jangcharity1) or either one depending on your personal capacity.
Option #2: If you cannot donate, SHARE this post with a heartfelt ask for your friends to donate and you’ll be making this my best birthday ever!
If you have read this far, and are still undecided, think about how you were able to move around free of worry. You did not need to minimize physical exertion and worry about your heart failing you just like baby Eli needs to.
I know that deep down you want to make the world a better place. So please, accept this gift of giving and show the world your decisiveness, commitment, and resolve!
I know many of us care, and we want to make the world a better place. Please accept this gift of giving and show the world your decisiveness, commitment, and resolve!
PS: As time is of the essence, I am going to share gifts for people who donate before 30 June 2020

Background of Baby Eli:
One year old, Eliana Nana Ekua Afra Quaicoe has been diagnosed with a Complex hole in heart, at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana.
Due to this condition, her surgery has been referred to Apollo Children's Hospital in Chennai India.
The family is appealing for financial support for this surgery to correct this anomaly to save her life. I Set this campaign to $12,000 due to expected costs in this process.
Time is running out for this young girl.
Your giving will not come back void.
PS: All proceeds will be going to Nana's Paypal directly as he is the direct liaison to Baby Eli. This is to reduce the cost of transfering money multiple times.
