Zakithi ‘Zaks' Myaka, a 27 year old and a mother of two (Sisonke and Aphiwe). Zakithi has been diagnosed with stage 3 Cervical cancer which has further spread to her organs (kidneys) and glands. Unfortunately the cancer is becoming aggressive and she can no longer undergo a Hysterectomy (removal of the uterus/womb) operation. She is due for radiation and chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible and is currently undergoing blood transfusion almost every day due to excessive bleeding. As a result of hefty bills of the latter, Zakithi is in desperate need of assistance with her medical costs for consultations with her Oncologist, hospital bills, blood transfusions and possibly dialysis treatment.
Her two kids need their mother, her family need their daughter, sister, and aunt. Please donate what you can, it will be greatly appreciated. In addition, the Myaka family would like to encourage every individual (both females and males) to go for thorough health screenings at least once a year, pap smears (females) and become blood donors. Let us futher support the fighters, admire the survivors and honour the taken.
We’re running for a target of R250 000. Her costs include a once off R78000 for Radiation and R3800 for each chemotherapy session at Hopeland Hospital.
