Hello, my name is Sara Toussaint. I am a 3rd year student in Napa Valley, CA. I am currently studying Religion (B.A.), Health Science (A.S.) and a minor in chemistry with pre-medicine. My goal in life is to become an OBGYN and travel around the world helping low income families; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I am in college to get an education, so I can one day help others but the finances is really a burden. Especially, since I am working four jobs as a journalist, ghost writer, marketing and executive assistant just to pay for college but its not enough to pay the full tuition. If I can finish college it will be a blessing because I will be able to go to medical school and be able to witness to others that who are from a similar low income background (as myself) that a person can complete college and be someone.

There are a lot of problems in the world today. When it comes time for us to act to help people in need, we can consider what we should do and determine the particular problem or issue and believe it’s too big for us, it’s too overwhelming. What we choose to believe is that ending a BIG problem starts with a small solution. People like us have the opportunity every day to be God’s hands and feet. It is an awesome responsibility He entrusts us with and it is something we should never take lightly or for granted. And during those times when He calls us to help those less fortunate – no matter where they may be – we need to be obedient and act accordingly.

There are those who commit themselves to place themselves in a position to help others. But, sometimes, those individuals need help to be able to start their journey. It is that spirit this letter found its way into your hands.

We are writing you today because a person who is very special to us needs our help. Our friend Sara Toussaint has spent years preparing herself I so that she can begin her journey that God is calling her to undertake. Sara’s mission is to become an OBGYN so she could travel around the work to help families by providing free health exams. Before Sara can do that, she must first finish her medical training at Pacific Union College. She is about to finish her junior year but is running out of money – and she’s currently working FOUR jobs to pay for school and life expenses. She needs to raise the requisite funds to be able to enroll for her senior year at Pacific Union College.
