Help Noma pay off her student debt so she can complete her final year in Agribusiness

My name is Nomathamsanqa Ndzungu (Noma).

This is my first time doing something like this. I come here because this is my last resort.

I am a final year student at the University of Pretoria studying towards a degree in Agricultural Economics. My reason for asking you all to reach out and find it in your hearts to assist me is because I am unable to register for my final year. I believe I am compelled to explaining how I got here and with your help where I would like to go.

My university journey has not been an easy one when it comes to finances and the mental stress it has brought to me, however it all began with a dream and goal to achieve it. How I ended up here is that in the year 2020 I was initially funded by NSFAS. I was able to register, get a book allowance and placed into a resident run by the university. This all happened in February of 2020. When the pandemic hit I found myself struggling to get myself basic food and toiletries so in September 2020, I decided to inquire from the university as to why I was not receiving my monthly allowance and they told me that my funding had been suspended since February 2020 and I was confused because I was not notified of this and what baffled me even further is how I was still allowed to stay at res if this was the case. I contacted NSFAS and I was told that funding had been suspended because of a N+2 rule, which again I was not aware of. I did however decide to stay and continue with my studies despite this fact. Some may find my continuation with my studies despite the abovementioned fact irresponsible, but like I said I have a dream and a goal I want to achieve. I am sure that you know how that feels.

Fast-forwarding to 2021, I received funding for my final year and I am met with yet another obstacle. I am told by the university that I need to pay R35 000 upfront prior to registration or I cannot complete my final year.

I am here appealing to you all to please help me raise this amount to pay my student debt so I can complete my final year. This is a call to anyone and everyone who has ever had a dream so please help me to accomplish mine. They do say that it takes a village to raise a child, please help this child.
