Help Maegan through Chemo

Thank you for taking the time to read Maegan’s story. In the early April 2022, Maegan began experiencing tremendous lower abdominal pain and generally not feeling well. She went to the doctor toward the end of April and they discovered a 6 in x 6 in mass in her abdomen. Originally, they were not suspecting cancer as her blood work did not point to that diagnosis. On June 9th she underwent a surgery to remove the mass. Once inside they discovered that the mass had enveloped so much of Maegan’s pelvic wall that when they went to remove the mass, it ruptured. They ended up needed to perform a complete hysterectomy on Maegan at only 32 years old. After further study, it was found that the mass was Stage II Clear Cell Lymphatic Ovarian Cancer and Maegan would have to undergo chemotherapy.

In just a matter of months Maegan went from being a hardworking, 31 year old wife and bonus mom to undergoing major surgery and learning she has to have chemotherapy. With the fast and unexpected diagnosis, Maegan has had to take more time away from work than she thought and is unaware when she will be able to return.

As Maegan’s family, we ask that you put yourself in her shoes. Maegan needs support, not only emotional, but physical and financial. With her independent and fierce heart, she is not the kind of person to ask such of people so we are helping her ask that tough question.
