Grisium bike experience

About ten years ago, the story of our team began, who started riding mtb together, and as a joke, we started digging and preparing tracks so that we could organize races.

The knowledge we gained over the years by driving and studying was reflected in our paths, which were beginning to become more complex and interesting.

After the cross-country trail, we started building enduro trails, all in the vicinity of a small municipality in Istria called Grožnjan, where cycling was then just a term on paper. However, we did not stop at these trails, but explored new possibilities and opened new directions to connect as much of Gornja Bujština as possible for greater enjoyment.

We love the most natural singletracks through the woods that can give the user the best feeling of connecting with nature.

Of course, the creation of a large number of trails has led us to organize large races and attract a large number of people to ride throughout the year, which is of great importance for the development of cycling in our area.

As the Municipality of Grožnjan is small and poorly developed, the financial assistance we can count on is insufficient to develop all our ideas, so we manage on our own no matter how we get there.

With our funds and volunteer work, we have so far built about 32 km of singletrack tracks in three locations, which we try to regularly maintain in the best possible condition.

Our plans for the future are the construction of another km of trails in the next year, which we have already partially marked and started to breakthrough, and the reconstruction of 4 km of single tracks in a protected forest after obtaining a field concession.

This winter we would like to hold a month of trail-building with volunteers from different parts of Europe to break through as many trails as possible and promote our area of Grožnjan, Oprtalj, and Buje. In addition, we would like to procure certain equipment that we have seen to enable us to better control, research, and maintain the trails, especially the new ones we are planning in a larger area.

We started Crowdfunding to raise funds for the purchase of trail maintenance equipment and the organization of a trail-building month as we are not able to finance the entire project ourselves.

Our greatest wish is to mark all the old and new trails so that the local population and foreign visitors can enjoy them.

We have already done a lot of work in these years and this crowdfunding campaign would be an additional wind in our backs to the next step which is the realization together with the Municipality of Grožnjan bike park for which we have already made a project, edited spatial plans and made a detailed cost estimate. relations with the state.
