My story is not about having a major disaster but it is about taking an opportunity to pursue my dream, failing but still moving on. When 2010 ended, I decided to leave my job of 10-years that paid me $97,000/year to pursue my dream to work with children in the public school system in Washington, DC. I had a plan and I thought my plan was effective, but it wasn’t. I had some success, made some mistakes due to my ego and learned some difficult lessons along the way. Have you heard the story about “if”? It goes something like this “if I had only done this or that I would have blah blah blah.” You can finish the rest of the story. We all have that “if” story and you know how the story goes. 

My dream was and still is to work with children in the public school system, but I’m now in debt due to a combination of things like taxes, being scam online and yes my best friend at the time, my credit card. The difficult lessons I learned inspired me to create a Goal Setting Workbook and Calendar (G$ Workbook), which I want to share with the public. The purpose of G$ Workbook is to help people set their goals, create a plan to achieve their goals and achieve the outcome they want. However, my debts have hamstrung me and I am unable to register my company and fully fund my project. Even if you do not fund my project, I want you to take a couple lessons from my story; (1) follow your dream, (2) plan effectively, and (3) do not live your life based on the “if” story.
