Campaign Story
Help kids from Zagreb to get their baseball field. Phase 1: building a backstop.
Cinderella story: the only team who is not using baseball field for practice is Little League champion in Croatia. Other 4 teams have their own baseball fields at disposal 24/7. All we need is equal opportunity.
U.S. Ambassador in Croatia, Mr. Robert Kohorst will match $ for $ every donation up to 2.000,00 HRK ($285). So go ahead and donate! It will be worth double.
These kids are tough and don't even feel the disadvantage. Help making them safer. Help them hit and throw more balls per practice like they should.
At the moment we are using plain meadow by the local school. Some of them play baseball for 7 years already. Backstop will allow them to have a batting practice without having to run for a missed ball in nettle bush to get the ball. Same goes for pitching practice.
Backstop will be 5 meters high and 18 meters wide. On the other hand, if you donate, our graditute will be much bigger than that.

Update posted by Ozren Zec at 10:46 amWe are getting there quickly! If we get above $600, we will use it for Phase II. Either a batting cage or a equipment shed. So far we were using a shopping cart to get practice equipment from school to the field and back. We are so grateful for every. . . . .
