ZAGREB ASSASSINS CRICKET CLUB FUNDRAISING – CROATIA CRICKET

Dear potential contributor

We are the youngest cricket club in Croatia. In our first year we have already participated in domestic and national tournaments such as the Croatian Cricket League and European Series of Cricket. In this short period of playing time we have experienced a big growth in members which made us look for our own cricket ground.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?

The club has recently got hold of a beautiful cricket ground in the city, the same one that was used for local cricket matches a decade ago but unfortunately had to be abandoned. The location that is only a few tram stops from the city makes it very accessible and therefore appealing to many players but the condition of the ground is not at a quality level as you can see in our video. Theres plenty of work to be done to get it in propper playing condition. The most urgent thing that we need right now is a new cricket pitch. Also, along with the pitch, we are planing to build a training facility ( cricket nets, functional training area.. ) to further develop the skills of our womens, mens and junior cricket team.Building up to and during this cricket season the club members will be participating in a number of sporting running and cycling events in an attempt to raise the necessary funds.

THE IMPACT

Having all this acomplished we are certain that the growth of cricket in Croatia will grow further on

and knowing the sporting background of our country, the likes of new „Cricket Luka Modrices“ will

surface. The club is an non-profit organisation meaning that any money we have is ploughed back into the clubs infrastructure, fascilities and programs.
