Youth Expedition Project – Surabaya

All funds will support our volunteers, as well as the beneficiaries in Surabaya.

We partner with Kaliandra Sejati Foundation to improve the welfare of the people surrounding the areas around Mt Arjuno, situated in East Java. We focus on education and bring teams of volunteers to conduct a structured English curriculum on a regular basis for youths to better their future livelihood through language skills and also to support school infrastructure works needed.

Each team of volunteers will conduct an English Language Programme over the span of one to two weeks in rural Primary/Secondary Schools. Volunteers also introduce interactive elements such as drama, songs and games associated with the specific learning objective for each module.

Teams will also be involved in the refurbishment work of the main Secondary School building.

Volunteers will help in improving the learning environment for the students by participating in the refurbishing of the main school building which includes finishing the retaining wall, building railings and painting murals.
