We’re asking again.

When Covid shut down the world in 2020, abruptly eliminating much of the advertising revenue at Beaver Dam Partners’ then three newspapers (Wareham Week, Sippican Week and Dartmouth Week), we asked for donations from readers. And you came through!

With the pandemic now in the past and ad revenue back on track, we are out of the woods. But . . . producing quality local news is not inexpensive. In addition to paying our full-time journalists – the heart of the operation – there is printing, office rent, website maintenance, utilities, insurance, and more.

We are here today because of the support of our wonderful advertisers. If you enjoy reading any one of our papers and/or websites, please patronize the businesses and organizations that make it possible!

“Traditional” newspapers also get help paying their bills from subscriber revenue. Over the years, we have been asked by many loyal readers why we don’t do the same. “I’d pay for _____ Week!” they say.

We know they would. We also know that attaching a price – however small – to each newspaper would dramatically decrease our readership. If we want to provide a common source of good community information, we need to reach everyone in town. To do that, the “price” needs to be free.

So here’s the thing. If you appreciate what we bring to your community and can afford to make a contribution of any amount to help support the work we do, please do so by clicking the “Donate Now” button at the right.

Note: If you prefer to donate by check, please mail a check made out to the name of the newspaper you read to our parent company:

Beaver Dam Partners Inc.

219C Main St.

Wareham, MA02571

And thank you for helping us help the community!

  • You do an excellent job of reporting all of the important news and events in Wareham and beyond. I’m particularly interested in town governance, and strangely enough anything that has to do with septic disposal, sewers, septics even cesspools. Although I know nothing about them. An informational article would be interesting. (for example how many waterfront properties do not conform to title V regulations). What happens to water quality in that very specific area and how long does it take to clear. I’m also interested in the quality of water and Flora, Fauna and Fish in Buzzards Bay. And in reference to water quality I am also concerned about the testing for bacteria at local beaches. I’ve always wondered if testing is chasing its tail i.e. the time lag between a serious rain event and the testing has always concerned me. Interviews with people in various offices in City Hall might be interesting. Sometimes you only hear when beaches are closed but the rest of the time they’re open with wonderful wonderful water quality. It would Be nice to hear about that. So the public probably might be very interested in some of the work of the Buzzatds , Bay coalition. I know you’ve got enough to do and limited print space, but it would be really interesting to interview important players in the Wareham areas so that we know what goes into making a fine community. Great work by the way on reporting the modifications to downtown Wareham in the future regarding flood issues. Also, excellent coverage of town meetings. Thank you. I get your news online and read it every day. I had had problems with learning about events that I wanted to go to after the fact. But I think you’re getting much better at informing people so that we can enjoy participating in Wareham activities. So I know really good job and thank you
