Good day

My name is Christo, I'm a 48 yr old male (ex) OTR heavy duty trucker from South Africa, I have worked for Danny Herman Trucking in Mountain City TN in the US and for O'Leary international Transport, Fee Brothers, Mc Gowan, Bus Nestor, Farrell Travel, Derek Cowley Transport, and Coldchain Logistics in Europe as well.......

Some of you may have seen my previous campaign, but don"t know my story.....I'm not only just looking for handouts......I have had a huge unavoidable setback in my life during July of 2018,....I was permanently employed by Riviera Boerdery, a local transporter in South Africa

During one of my "never-ending" trips, I eventually got a weekend off and it so happened that I was passing my hometown. It was my first time off in about 4 months. Being that I had nothing really important to do, I started resting, but that night I started feeling quite ill (immense shortness of breath and the whole left side of my body went numb and I had no balance......kept falling over). I waited for my partner to return from work and tried to explain how I felt unwell.....I was put in bed and at around 03h00 the morning I just started mumbling stuff that no-one understood and I fainted again......

The ambulance were called and he was told I'm having a massive stroke, after the paramedics were treating me and "sort of" and stabilizing me, they put me in the ambulance where I suffered a second "minor" stroke on the way to hospital.

While being seen to in hospital i slipped into a semi coma, I stayed in that state until the middle of October 2018, I then wasn't able to do anything for myself and the doctors said I may end up with brain damage, but they started all kinds of treatment to help me recover from the whole ordeal (physio, mental exercises etc)

Luckily...., I didn't get any permanent brain damage, and even now, 8 months later I'm recovering slowly but still battling with balance and severe headaches and my eye sight is affected tremendously and now have to wear glasses.

I have lost my job since, (boss said his insurance wouldn't allow me to drive again......which I'm pretty sure is a blatant lie) and nobody wants to hire me because of being a high "insurance/health risk", and in this whole time with no income, lost our home and had to sell most of our belongings just to survive. We live in a well-doer's old shop at the moment and eat maybe every second day or so, sometimes he gives us some of their leftover food. He let me use his computer to look for some sort of work and maybe donations.....but this is South Africa....no-one really cares about the next person, hence the reason I have to ask you kindly for a generous donation which will be greatly appreciated, just so we can survive.
