Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about who I am, and why I am here. I think it would be best to start off by saying that it is incredibly uncommon for me to burden others with my troubles but today I have received my financial aid package from the pharmacy school in which I plan to attend in the fall of 2015. I was extremely disheartened to find out that I was only gifted with enough federal loans to cover my tuition for the 2015-2016 year. There were no grants available to me as I will be entering the professional years of the pharmacy program, and I will be going to a school that is out of the state of New York. This would not be as earth shattering to me if I wasn't also hit with the fact that this school does not have on campus housing for pharmacy students. I am currently working full time as a pharmacy technician, pushing myself to the limits with overtime while finishing up courses that are required for me to start in the fall. Although I am trying now to make more than ends meet, I know that my savings will not be enough for the high cost of living in New Jersey where the University is located. I would willingly give you the shoes off my feet, or the shirt off my back because I have always felt as if I have had a very lucky, gifted life. I am healthy, smart, caring, loving, protective of my younger siblings, thoughtful, giving, and driven. All of these qualities have molded me into the young woman I am today, and I am proud to say I have a family that has always pushed me to be my very best. I have headed many community service projects, and I have always persevered through any hardships in my life, all while maintaining a positive attitude. I will be continuously pursuing any and all avenues that will allow me to follow my path of becoming an amazing pharmacist but I truly hope you will be a part of helping me towards my dream. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I hope in return I will be able to improve our world by helping those in it.
