Young, desperate wife

My husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer a week after his 52nd birthday in June 2013. We sold eberything we owned and bought a used Motörhome in hopes to live out his remaining months fishing bevauae we were told he had 3-4 months to live without treatment and 4-6 months WITH treatment. Of course he did chemo and radiation for 40 days and had brain surgery to remove what they safely could. After treatment we were told that was all they could so so enjoy the remainder of our time. We went on search through 4 states and 13 different docs in the last 9 months and found one in vegas two months ago who has given is hope with a new treatment called Avastin. And it is working. BUT after a little over 25 years with the same company we found out on February 7th via certified letter that Karl had been medically discharged (fired) January 31, 2014 And his insurance benefits would end February 9th, 2014. We made it through 5 of the Avastin treatments lesbing five left but without insurance we now have to pay $8,000 for each of the five remaining treatments. we sold everything in a desperate attempt to fine a cure for him. Recent scans show ZERO new growth and the new oncologist said he feels strongly Karl will be around for "many years to come" wHen this treatmenytis complete. And now...to lose all hope just like that. I'm not even necessarily looking for a handout even though I'm desperate. Advice would be greatly appreciated. We used what he has left of his 401k to take care of the kids up in northern Nevada while they are in school and alternative treatment options last year. (he was married for 20 years and gave her way more than half in the divorce 6 years ago.).
