Many elderly folks love to see a friendly face and have someone to talk to. Collectively known as LP148, we are a team of like-minded friends who have come together to forge friendships with, and to create joy, excitement and fun for the residents at St John’s Home for Elderly Persons (SJHEP).
The present SJHFEP is home to more than 1,200 elderly folks for the past 60 years. There is allotment of fresh land lease on a smaller area of 3,300 sqm and they are required by the land authorities to embark on building a new home for the residents; part of maximising land use efforts. Funding the new premises is major concern. The funds - it will provide the elderly residents with continued care and a better home. New home means better facilities, possibilities of a happier environment.
SJHEP and we are looking to raise awareness for the lives of their residents in hope for more funds that will go to their everyday care. If you are keen to contribute, click here and monies raised will be channelled into caring for 102 and more residents in time to come.
Target amount: SGD 5,000.00
