2017 has been a horrible year. I have no idea where to start. From job change to family medical emergencies, I have been on the brink of catastrophe.

I’ll start with job trouble. I was working at Michaels Arts and Crafts store as a late night clerk earning a decent amount. It was enough to cover my expensives but to a point. That was until they decided to suddenly cut my hours so I was only working 8 hour at the most a week. I went from working 36 hours to 8 hours in a matter of weeks. I couldn’t do it anymore so I quit in search of more opportunities. This led me to work at a seasonal job in June (I got the new job right after quitting Michaels) at Historic Cold Spring Village (a historic museum where they interpreters that demonstrate life in the 1800s.) Well that job only lasted me until September 26th which means I have no steady income at this time. I’m currently working with Aflac which only pays commission and no steady salary whic my doesn’t help my situation.

Next I ruined my credit by going into debt with several things. One of those being college. My parents refuse to help secure a loan enough to cover my education costs so I now owe a college money since I started a semester without proper financial aid. My credit card was also maxed out in an effort to keep myself alive with food and such. I recently paid off my credit card so that’s no longer a threat. Due to my horrible credit (less than 550 but still in the 500s) I can’t apply for a loan. I hate asking for money but this my last option.

The last issue that brings me here is that mom has serious kidney failure as result of her diabetes. This recent decline in her health had caused her to have to receive dialysis which is three days a week. On those days my father has to take her and pick her up. At the current moment we have two cars and one of them may fail out soon so I have to get a car soon before that happens. I don’t want to be in a position where I have to choose between my job and my moms health.

Now comes my reason for choosing that amount. I found a car that I was approved for at CarMax which will require me to put down $1000. I would need that and enough to pay for car insurance since that’s also required. Any amount left over would toward the rest of my expensives that I can’t afford while in this in between jobs transition. I would greatly appreciate any help getting past this massive hurtle in my life.
