Hello!

My name is Ben King, and over the past year and a half I have been employed by a large supermarket frnachise. My wages from work easily make up 95%+ of my income. Any other income I have is fairly discretionary, like getting £50 a year from YouGov or making a couple of quid on YouTube every so often

The reason I'm making this fundraiser is because I have been suspended from work pending a 4th investigation into my "conduct". Having won the first 3 investigations, and being in the process to take my employer to a tribunal, I am confident that this investigation will also fall. And even though I have been "suspended on full pay", management suspended me at the end of an 8 day emploment gap, and also removed 2 of my shifts in the process. I will be down almost 50% of my pay this month due to mismanagement and an abusive workplace culture. And after this month is over? Who knows...

In my opinion, this is yet again another deliberate effort by management and/or the company to force me to quit. I have been regularly harassed, lied to, bullied, been screamed at, and had a slur aimed at me by a manager. The other major issue has been that 7 of my last 11 wages were underpaid. Any time shifts are swapped, extra time is added, or the card machine isn't working you basically just have to accept you'll be paid 1 or 2 months late. I have had other 50 incidents of reporting being underpaid to management. Their response is always lackluster and lacking any consideration. Again, 2 months late is an optimistic average.

The above issues, aside from now losing my main source of income has put me further and further into debt. I was literally better off not working for said un-named company. I am also confident that when I take this to court, I'll win a settlement off them

Everything mentioned above is what has caused my current crisis; and this isn't even mentioning the emotional and mental trauma this has put me through. Each day feels like it's hard to justify why I should make an effort to go on, other than pure spite! I will clarify that while I am at my absolute lowest ever, I'm not at any real risk of not being alive anymore -- but it is extremely hard, and situations like these allow you to empathise with those who have made that incredibly sad decision
