Witty Wordsmith Wannabe

I am an aspiring author. Over the years, I have written articles, blogs, captions, excerpts, and short stories. Although I am still self-conscious to share my pieces, I have been told I have a flair for writing and should make a living out of it.

To realise my dream, firstly I need a new laptop. The current one I have is 7 years old. The speed is slow, the fan is loud, it gets hot really fast, and the battery dies even faster. It is not going to live much longer.

As I am drowning in my responsibilities, I never really had the means to spend on myself. Every time I think of dining out, socialising, shopping, or travelling, I always end up prioritising the bills, debts, loans, mortgage, etc. It is like I have 99 problems, and 98 of them are money (or the lack of it!). #firstworldproblems

I have a day job but I am tired of living month to month with bare minimum to survive. I cannot get a job in the writing field because I do not have a certificate in it. I had to drop out of my bachelor degree in Communications and English as I cannot afford the tuition fees.

Ultimately, I would like to self-publish a novel. I have enquired with publishing companies, but they are rather expensive and will take part of the earnings, which will defeat my purpose of finding avenues for extra income.

Hopefully, this will be a good start to open more doors to my other dream – running my own hospitality business. I hope I can use my talent to turn my life around with your generous support.
