The Mission

The Words for Warriors Organization is a Foundation for Charity for Veterans of Armed Services worldwide and their families. The Foundations mission is to collect – through submission or release – the photographs and personal accompanied stories of veterans – with proper attribution or citation remaining with the owner(s) – for the purposes of publication in a series of books for sale worldwide.

All sales generated from each book (volume) are sent (by percentage) to support (A) and (A+) rated Veterans Charities and Organizations for the express purpose of aiding and supporting veterans worldwide through said charities and organizations.

It is the intent of the Foundation to support veterans, service members, and their families with monetary charity through the sale of properly attributed veteran generated and submitted/released written and photographic works.

In order to accomplish this mission, Words for Warriors accepts any and all submitted/released photographic and accompanied written works (stories) – from Veterans, by Veterans, for “All” – covering their experiences as service members. These stories can be of any category – humor, documentary, news coverage, events, war or service related accounts, etc. – so long as they are 1) an original work by the submitter, and 2) a personal work/account that can be directly attributed to the submitter.

It is the hope of the Foundation that as many current Service Members, Veterans, and family members as possible, from any nations Armed Service, will be willing to participate by sending in their stories for the express purpose of publication, distribution, sale, and charitable contribution to the support and aid of all veterans.

As veterans, we are all collectively family, shared members of humble service in the defense of a nation, and proud alumni to the 1% who stepped up to protect and defend the 99% at a cost up to and including our very lives. We stand side-by-side, regardless of banner in which we serve under, as brothers and sisters who promised to care for each other till the rest of our days.

The Words for Warriors Organization is a Foundation for just that purpose. The Foundation is a way for all Veterans around the world, regardless of uniform or banner, to continue standing side-by-side with each other, and to help our brothers and sisters with monetary charity, through the use of original written and photographic works.

Words for Warriors seeks out Veteran submitted stories and accompanied photographs in order to produce a continuing series of books in volumes containing those very stories.

All submitted/released stories are colligated together to form the many chapters of each book in the series, and directly attributed to each submitter. When enough stories of a similar category – humor, documentary, news coverage, events, war or service related accounts, etc. – are received, they are then compiled to form a completed book, published, distributed, and sold to generate money for selected (A) and (A+) rated Veterans Charities and Organizations.

Join us and submit your own stories and photographs. Tell us about your experiences, show us your photos, share with us your humorous accounts, war recounts, or even your reflections of your time in service.

All submissions should include your full name, rank during your time of service, branch of service, nation of service, years of service, job title and/or description, and location and date(s) where the story(s) and photographs took place – so that we can correctly attribute it all to you.

Help us, not only provide a documented source for your stories for history, but to use those same stories to help fellow Veterans – Brothers and Sisters – in need.

Description:

Per M. Griebler, Author of “13 Years of Service”, is a retired Master Sergeant of the German Armed Forces Bundeswehr. During his last 8 years in the Bundeswehr, he worked closely with the United States Army as a Liaison NCO, where he realized that the memories of the events that occur during a soldier’s time in service were not just priceless, but remarkably similar to those of other service members from other nations as well.

The idea for his most recent book, “13 Years of Service”, came up a few years prior during a deployment. “I thought to myself, ‘I wanted to create a book to share those humorous experiences that happened to me while I was in the German Army, with other soldiers around the world, who could also relate to similar experiences; and I wanted it to be simple, so that someone could take it out, read a few pages, smile, and put it away, with no need to remember where you left off.’”

With that, Griebler started to write down all the stories he could remember from his time in uniform. Stories that reflected moments in his life that every soldier could relate to, no matter where they were from.

“13 Years of Service” is a collection of all those funny, weird, and awkward moments every soldier has during their time in service… and best yet, they are all true!

80% of proceeds for this book will be equally distributed between the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes fund, the Fisher House Fund, and the Soldier’s Fund of the German Bundeswehr.
