Wisconsin Ambassador of Music

Hi Everyone, My name is Taylor, I am a sophmore in High School. I pariticipate in many school groups such as FFA, FBLA, Manga Club, Art Leauge, and I am currently in the process of trying to create an Acappella group. During my years at school I have maintained a 3.1 GPA average. I work hard on my studies and stay focused. I have also participated in Girl Scouts for about 11 years now. I  have earned my Silver Award and now I am working towards my Gold Award. I have volunteered to help grow a garden to donate vegetables to the Jefferson Food Pantry. Please help me fund my once in a life time trip. I have been elected to be a represenative for Wisconsin's Ambassador of Music. This opportunity is given based on your citizenship, musical talent, and individuality. This trip is a 16 day tour of Europe. During this trip I will have the opportunity to make friends, learn more about the heart and foundation of cultural aspects, visit famous musical opera houses, and much more. I love music, it is my passion. I started playing the flute and piccolo and stayed with the instruments or 4 years then changed to choir. I was always afraid of what people would think of my singing voice, so I would never share my talent. I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and audition in a play. The director was amazed by my musical talent being able to match multiple rythem sets played on the piano with perfect pitch. Ever since then I have been in choir for two years. I participate in the Solo Ensemble event for my school. I work very hard with my teacher and practice every day. After lessons I would come home and practice for hours. My teacher helped me develope my talent to a point that I didnt even know I could reach. The music I personally specialize in is Opera. Opera has a beautiful emotional flow of words that can be very romantic and be a dramatic love story. I would love to share my talent with many more people and have the opportunity to learn more about music. I would really appreciate it if you could help me raise money for my trip. I have always dreamed of traveling to some of the various countries along the way. To every person that donates I will be creating hand made Thank You cards and will be sending one in the mail.
