I am a whistlesblower in the South African Police Service and has suffered severe retaliation as well as occupational detriment that resulted in dismissal. I'm currently challenging my dismissal but have been unemployed for almost 2 years without any form of income, except for a few donor's but the funding also stopped due to lack of sponsors. I have been in hiding since February 2022 after several direct attempts on my life and have to move from hide out to hide out, which I have to pay for because although I am a whistlesblower,I don't receive any financial assistance from the government. I have three children who are financially dependent on me and currently it is very difficult because I can't support them financially. My youngest is 12 years old.

This is one brave woman! I salute a policewoman who is spilling the beans on her corrupt senior officers, prosecutors etc. Her life is in grave danger, but the State seems not to care. It is up to us, the public, to protect and support her.
