Web Developer in need of assistance.

Hi, My name is Sean Gouws, I'm a self-taught and self-employed website developer/designer Graphic Designer that runs a small Design Firm call Tempered Steel Designs, I don't have my own website yet but I am on social media. It has been an uphill struggle to get ahead in the market as an unqualified website designer/developer because of a piece of paper, I learnt everything I know from websites like Stack overflow, w3schools and a few others, which are highly recommended should you wish to study HTML5, PHP, CSS, Jquery and MySql. I'd recommend Stack overflow as not only a fantastic place to improve your code by engaging with professionals in the same field while sharing your idea's and helping others, constructively. I believe education, even if it is done by yourself at home is empowering when life doesn't give you as many options for growth.

This campaign is to raise funds to purchase new equipment to offer my services once again to my community and abroad, I design customized widgets and beautifully constructed websites with consumer friendly navigation and page sales conversions, to bring sales to your e-client.

Recently my Laptop, drawing tablet and peripherals (Headphones, keyboard, mouse, HDMI cable) and LCD screen (I use as second screen) were stolen in my home by local petty thieves and was not insured. From what I understand some of the local thieves use kids to steal for them as they can get into smaller spaces, even burglar bars, and other security measures. To make it worse we own 6 dogs and none of them even heard them break in till it was far too late. Luckily I'd backed up my external recently and was in my room.

I work with with my hands so I managed to find other work for the time being, fixing Laptops and Desktops , Painting Houses, Gardening and Household repairs but I've only been making enough just to cover my bills and I've had a few old clients asking if I could help them with a website for a colleague or someone they've heard is in the market for a website.

For your support I'm offering my services as a Web Designer and Graphic Designer for FREE under the following terms:

--> You or your business have a registered Domain and a Host Provider.

--> Any widgets, applications or content that would require subscription will fall under your own account.

--> Tempered Steel Designs will design the conceptual layout of the website, provide the most updated keyword research to improve search engine optimization, and provide a method for a Supporter (client) to easily change content, images and some other minor features of a website without any obligation to maintain content or updates, while providing technical support should it be required.

--> Tempered Steel Designs can offer water-marked samples of any Business-Logo's, Business Cards, Advertising Pamphlets, Information Pamphlets, Favicon's and Event specific Invitations Prior to a donation to this campaign. Otherwise you can submit your request via [email protected] with your Name, Business Name, suggestions/requests and Date of donation.

--> Tempered Steel Designs will reserve Copyright of any Conceptual Designs, Layouts, Applications or Widgets it creates, while providing all licensing rights to parties under agreement to undergo a design or project. Tempered Steel Designs revokes any rights to licencing fees, royalties or surcharges regarding the creation or design of any Website, Corporate identities and commissions.

--> All projects, whether a design or commission, will be processed like any other client and will offer all documentation, contracts, scopes of work and constant updates until completion of contract and customer satisfaction.

--> Under the request of a Backer/ Supporter, Tempered Steel Designs can setup social media accounts, link these accounts to their website, but only offers social media management on a contractual basis with a monthly subscription of no less than R549/ month. Setup is only offered with a website.

--> Tempered Steel Designs will not be obligated to go beyond the original scope of work that was agreed upon, any work required apart from the provided and agreed upon scope will be quoted for at an acceptable rate, after discussion and presentable with the client.

I'm currently looking at getting a Desktop (Second-Hand) or building one myself from second hand parts, I have a 2GB GPU (refurbished), 4GB RAM (2x2GB) and a old Tower that I got from colleagues of mine or alternatively I can get an i5 Quad Core with 4GB RAM second hand for R2500 minus what i can get for the RAM. Any assistance would be welcome!

If there is something else I can possibly do for you, such as, PC related questions and advice, ISP recommendations, or just about anything tech based I'm more than happy to help. I also work with Polyesther Resins and make Silicon Moulds, Anything that can be made from Resin and Decoupage (Plates, Tea Trays, Ornaments, Tables, etc.).
