Our story:

Ever since I was little I have been told that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. No matter how big my dream was, I could make it happen. As much as I want to believe this, growing up has put a damper on my faith in dreams. 

I met the love of my life three years ago and we just recently started a family. This is my little ray of sunshine before he was born 9 months ago.

We have always struggled financially; being off and on food stamps, trying to make ends meet and save for a wedding at the same time. When our little Harrison came along, he reminded us that we should be enjoying life and making the most out of it.

We had become so stressed about money that we stopped doing exactly that. I asked my fiance what we saw ourselves doing in the next five years and we both said: moving to paradise.

So we made that our goal; we are moving to Hawaii!!

We live in the hottest state in the USA and these summers are so hot that i'm afraid to take my baby out of the house. There are always horror stories on the news talking about babies passing away in vehicles because of the heat. We are miserable and tired all the time. This place drains the life out of us.  

  I just want to be able to walk outside and feel the breeze, smell the ocean, and be overwhelmed with life! One of my goals is to homeschool my son and teach him about the earth and growing your own food. I want to give hime the fundementals to survive in this chaotic world. Living here in Arizona..The cost of water to grow a garden is just one more thing we can't afford to do. I am trying to prove to my community that it is possible to eat organic fruits, veggies, and whole foods even if you are struggling. There is no reason to have to sacrifice your health because of low income. Sadly, buying good quality food for your family comes with an even higher price.

We want to beleive it is possible to do anything if we work hard at it.

It is just not probable to be able to save up for a down payment on a house when I am paying for school loans, ER visits, saving for our wedding next year, and formula. God forbid a car breaks down or our AC breaks. Plus, We are working opposite schedules because we can't afford childcare AND still living with roomates!!

My intention is to go back to school and become a clinical massage therapist with a specialty in nutritionist and it will take me years to accomplish. In order for it to work out financially, I would have to go to school part time. With Max working at a hospital and going to school to become a histotech, we can just BARELY afford that. I would have to stop paying off my school loans and Max would have to work more. If I get to start school it will be my biggest priority and our dream get pushed aside even further..

Here's the deal

In 5 years, Max will be done with his Histotech degree and I will hopefully be a nationally certified massage therapist. We want to be able to move to Hawaii by then and both start working the jobs we enjoy for the rest of our lives in the most beautiful place on earth. If we are able to pull this off, I will offer my services of massage therapy for free for anyone that donated for 5 years.
