MFK ( Mikero family kitchen) started during the pandemic of 2020. As the hospitality industry got decimated the need for survival increased. What do chefs do, without what they know? They make food. Michael has spent hours over hot coals with the occasional beer, roasting, burning and perfecting the art of making chilli's sing. MFK has been a journey of tweaking and pivoting, but the result has made our hearts sing with pride.

Our chilli sauce was born, and in true South African style it is made with love and an obligation to support local farmers with their undeniably fantastic produce. Many hours were spent making soup for humanitarian relief but unfortunately it doesn't pay the bills, but what it does pay, is humility, patience and the acceptance that sometimes you need to ask for a hand up.

If you're a chilli sauce lover or just a chilli fan, please help us get on that local business bus.
