We Care Foundation Sri Lanka – it’s time to make a change

Hi. My name is Sanjana T Ranasinghe. The Founder of We Care Foundation. At ' We Care Foundation ' Me and my helpful crew work our way through people in need to really bring out something excellent. to make a change in their hearts.

One day, when I was driving down the road in a car, I see someone. who is surely older than my father, going down the same road as me on a Bicycle. So it's Me in a car and that Man who is way older than me, on a Bicycle. it was extremely hot the sun was glazing down. What is the reason? Was he born in any other way than I was born? what god made him do? what god made me do? is there any difference between him and I? only difference between him and I could be that I've lived probably more than half of his life time. And I felt extremely uneasy at this moment. Because My father who is around 65 years old, would never ride in a bicycle. and that person that I'm seeing right now, should never either. In my eyes, he is just like my father. No difference at all. So I needed to help him. How can I help him with a new bike? I can only dream to do that myself. So I get home, gather some of my friends and talk about this. this happened in 2015. after a week, We had gathered around 130$ and got a used Honda Chally bike. which was for sale on a garage sale. And we donated the bike to some person who lived around the neighborhood who made his living by farming. he also used to ride in a bicycle too. And that made us feel real special.

That was the moment I realized that, I can have this ultimate feel of giving something away and expect nothing in return could be so rewarding. That laid the basement to this small foundation called We Care Foundation. Until 2018, We were able to do small programs. like 3 programs a year. It would simply go unnoticed. Started as a small group of friends to a circle of friend and their Families, We were able to make little progress. as the years passed by, We realized that we needed to make a bigger change so we ran campaigns through social media, Facebook and there has been a lot of supportive people with such beautiful hearts like you. We received donations locally. Most of the times we would schedule a donation program and made a check-list and walk from house to house and storefront to storefront to collect donations. And people would call us names, and tell our parents things about us begging for money. But they would never do that if they ever knew that someday this foundation would grow this much. We're still a small foundation. But we will continue to grow.

We cannot do it alone. We need your support. They indeed need your support. Through out the years we've been helping lots of Orphanages and Special Schools, and Temples, Buddhist Shrines from donating books to supplying building material such as asbestos sheets and Cement Blocks as we could.

*this image was taken by me from another donation program to a buddhist temple at Madawachchiya City that was held by We Care Foundation featuring with another foundation called " Sundara Hetak ( Beautiful Tomorrow ). program was for Donating 50 Tripitaka Books to a Rural Buddhist temple on 20th of April 2018

We Care Foundation is based in the northern parts of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura City. Our charity programs are mainly targeted in Anuradhapura city area. Not that we won't go farther into villages to make peoples hearts really shine! Everybody is eager to do that.

Every little donation is Highly Appreciated. We can only dream to do it alone. Our supportive group in the foundation will work to make your donations really make a change in the peoples hearts who's in need! So make a request. We will do it for you, Happily. We at all times try to be fully transparent. Its the Money you spend for some goodwill. And we really need to make it very worth! So at all times we will provide daily progress of each program that is planned and I will personally post updates on every program on our Facebook page and also at our Respectable GoGetFunding Dashboard to show you how your money were spent and carried out by us.
