War On Hunger Foundation in collaboration with Calvary H.O.P.E Missions and Outreach has been serving people of some of the poorest townships in Cape Town South Africa and our main focus is children and elderly. We have been serving communities of Cape Town for the past 7 years and through the grace of God we manage to reach many people. We regularly cook food and take it into poor township and feed children, elderly and disable first. We try to reach as many people possible but due to lack of funds we can only reach certain townships. We try our best to cook at least every second day and go to townships around Cape Town. We recently helped people of Kapteinsklip Squatter Camp who lost everything in fire and than they were hit with one of the worst storms in 30 years. We try to cook for them at least three times a day and also assisted them with dry clothing bedding and even material to try and rebuild structure which the lost in fire. We also have a blanket drive on 1 July our aim is to collect between 250 and 500 blankets and go into the streets of Cape Town and bless homeless people with a warm blanket and a warm meal, this is to make this cold wet winter a bit bearable. On 28 June we will cook for 1000 children in Delft and also give them safety education for the winter school holidays that is come, We also plan to feed 1500 in Heintz Park Mitchell's Plain. We have been serving those who cannot pay back for years and appeal to you for a donation to make this possible, any amount will help and out War On Hunger Foundation Page can be visited on Facebook. God bless you and I trust God you be able to help us raise funds to feed poor and needy around Cape Town. We are also in urgent need of transport, the VW Kombi we use to serve people around Cape Town is more than 15 years old and needs to retire as it is more in workshop than on road. We really travel in harsh conditions and need a car them will be able to travel off road.
