Update .... today is Wednesday 12th August. Cancer has been removed!!! Histology results could not be better, the tumour is a stage 3, however tests on oesophagus removed were clear of cancer cells, liver is clear and lymph nodes are clear! Out look is ’chances of invasion’ 10% over the next 5 years which according to the wonderful Mr Tang (surgeon) is the best possible outcome! We are not through the woods quite yet, mum has a long recovery ahead and they will continue with the plan to give her chemo as soon as she is fit enough! Surgeon said ’if there is something in life you want to do then do it now!’ .... SO LET’S GET MUM TO OZ!! The walk is less than 3 weeks away, Craig and I are walking everywhere now, with a beer stop every now and again! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and please please if you haven’t yet click onto walk4gill and help us get mum to see her brothers and donate as much as we can to these amazing people

Update .... today is Monday 20th July. Mum is booked in for her op on Thursday 30th! went for her pre-op last week so we all are prepared as we can be for what is ahead. None of us can believe how incredibly brave and positive mum is, she makes it easy for us!! The op is a big one! recovery is going to be a very long process but with her attitude she will come through smiling! Craig and I are only a few weeks away from the walk so now is the time to start raising awareness and asking for donations, no matter what size .... remember this is for mum to see her brothers in Australia but also to help the amazing people who work tirelessly to beat this disease .. pls share and donate if you can ... one step at a time x
