Dear Friends and W&C Family,

As every South African can attest, the past few weeks have been turbulent to say the least. None of us could reasonably foresee the devastating storm that is COVID-19, which turns out to be capable of not only destroying lives, but livelihoods also. The future of Waffle and Co has been hacked and replaced with uncertainty.

Our pride and evergreen optimism aside, we truly are in critical need of your help. In as much as we have ventured into different avenues and alternatives, we have now come to the realisation that the support of our community is integral during the course of this pandemic.

Our primary objective in establishing this fund is simple: to secure the livelihoods of our team, many of whom are the sole providers for their families. Waffle and Co cannot be anything without its hard-working and lovely staff members.

Despite the challenges we all face in this time, we choose to believe that small businesses have a future in this country.

We choose to believe that no virus can possibly prevail over the imaginations, ingenuity and downright persistence of small businesses.

We choose to believe that 2020 will not be the downfall of Waffle and Co, but will only become part of its story.

Above all, we choose to believe that we will serve you waffles as soon as all of this ends.

In light hereof, we truly need your help - every single contribution, albeit small, will help us to secure not only the future of Waffle and Co, but more especially, the livelihoods of our team and their families.
