Hi, I'm David Fraser! I'm a musician by profession and a political activist by hobby. With the 2015 federal election just around the corner, I wanted to help broadcast two election-related campaigns that I am passionate about. The first is VoteTogether by LeadNow, which aims to mobilize a base of voters in every riding to vote for the candidate most likely to defeat the Conservative in that riding (based on crowd-funded local polling). The second is FairVote Canada, which aims to elect the candidates in each riding that will support a bill for proportional representation in Parliament. The idea is that once we have a majority of MPs who would support proportional representation, we can have a more representative electoral system where every single vote counts and leads to the election outcome and makeup of the House of Commons.
I decided that one of the ways I would help promote these causes is by putting full-size decals on my car for everyone in Edmonton to see in the final 2 weeks of the election! Unfortunately, due to their regulations and constraints as non-profits, neither LeadNow nor FairVote can compensate me for the cost of advertising their campaigns with my car decals. So, I am appealing to you for support to help me recuperate the cost of the decals! The message of voting together to stop Harper and voting to achieve electoral reform will hopefully reach many people throughout the Edmonton area from my decals.
Please consider donating $10, $5, or even just $2. Every small donation makes a huge difference. Please join me in fighting for a brighter future for Canada. Thank you for your help!
