Hey all! I have just recently graduated from Culinary School and am wanting to learn more about the self sustainable, environmentally friendly aspect of our industry. We're headed in the direction of needing more self susatinable products and I would love to learn more about them through travelling and volunteering on Organic farms. Many people have asked me why I don't just go "work" on a farm. Organic farms have a lot of support, but not nearly as much as non organic farms, mainly because of cost factors. They need all the help they can get, and I'd rather volunteer for them than have them pay me. Israel is a major place I will want to visit in order to gain more information about farming and crops, as well as other regions in and around it. My goal is to travel and volunteer for two months. With your help, I will be able to learn more about how to help steer our industry in a better, healthier, and more environmentally friendly direction. Thanks guys!
