Volunteering In Sri Lanken Hospitals

I am going to be volunteering in Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka, in April 2018. I will be there for 4 weeks in various hospitals on the Paediatric wards and in the emergency departments. This opportunity will enable us to work with various healthcare professionals from other countries and will widen our knowledge of the services they provide and the differences between their healthcare and our own.

We have chosen Sri Lanka to experience health care in a different setting and different cultures. We are going to be lucky enough to participate in one of the world's oldest medical systems; It originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The PMGY Foundation is a UK registered charity (1169415) that was set up to help provide financial aid and assistance to projects and countries.

I would love to earn money to help pay for the experience but will also donate some of the money to the hospitals in Sri Lanka.

I have taken this opportunity to not only raise money to fund my experience, but to also grow my hair to donate it to the little princess trust, to give someone something to make there life a little more exciting and comfortable - I will be cutting and donating my hair just before my trip!
