Volunteering in Ghana

I'm a 18 year old fun-loving caring woman, who would love to embark my career in medical practice.

In June 2016, for six weeks I shall be embarking on a volunteering placement in Ghana.

Like many African countries, Ghana faces an acute shortage of health care workers. Low pay, poor working conditions and limited training programmes contribute to the problem, whilst the rising burden of HIV/AIDS treatment greatly amplifies the situation.

I have always aspired to work in another country to help others.

I have already been chosen to take part in this amazing self-funding, volunteer programme; and I need to fundraise in order for me to go. My flights, the placement - accommodation, air-port pickup and food included - registration fees, transport, visas, insurance, CRB, air-port return and volunteer work permit will cost around £2000.

I would love to make a huge difference to those less fortunate than myself and I would love and appreciate for all my friends and family to support me on this amazing journey.
