Volunteering in Cambodia with Children and Youth

Hi everybody,

I will be volunteering in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for three weeks in October to help make a contribution to the children and youth in Cambodia. I am going with International Volunteers HQ who work in partnership with local charitable organizations in which I would like to make some sort of donation.

These local charitable organizations provide assistance to children from very disadvantaged backgrounds. I am passionate about making sure that all children have access to proper and essential care and support. I will be here for three weeks spending my time helping local people and organizations within communities to promote better health, education and development outcomes for young people. This program helps to change these children's lives through education from a young age, and I am very excited to get started!

I want to make a positive impact on these children while I am there. I figured that others might also want to help out this worthwhile project so I have decided to do a small amount of fundraising before we go. All funds raised will go towards something in high need of financial assistance (once I am there I will decide to my discretion). Quite possibly it could be towards the purchase of basic school supplies, reading books, building blocks, educational toys, etc and any other areas that the project itself feels would benefit from additional funds . Any donation at all will be HUGELY appreciated and will hopefully go a long way in helping the children.
