US$940.00raised of $2,000.00 goal goal
Family and Friends
The reason you are reading this right now is because me and my girlfriend, Trinity, have been given the opportunity of a lifetime. We have been accepted into a program ran by the International Volunteers HQ (volunteerhq.org) to travel to Nepal and serve the local communities of Chitlang, Pokhara, and Chitwan for two weeks this Summer.
In 2015, Nepal was struck by an earthquake of a 7.8 Magnitude, and 7 years later, these communities have still not fully rebuilt. We will have the opportunity to help rebuild with guidance from the locals and focus on the construction and renovation of community houses and centers, road construction, toilet facilities, libraries, and the building of classrooms and schools.
Though we have about 1/3rd of our budget saved up, we still need to raise $2,000 to be able to cover the rest of the expenses of our trip. If everyone reading this were to donate at least $50, we would be able to reach our goal. We completely understand if you are on a tight budget right now, so truly anything helps.
IVHQ emphasizes that they "Exist to positively impact people, wildlife, and our planet." They also make it a goal for their program to be Inclusive, Innovative, and Responsible. (For more information about IVHQ, check here https://www.volunteerhq.org/about-us/)
Thank you again for taking the time to read this and hear about our cause. Even though we are only asking for $50, investing in as little as $25 or more than $50 will help us not only volunteer in Nepal, but help us try to make a positive impact both at home and abroad.
