Campaign Story
I really don't like needing to do this, but sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and ask for help. While driving across rural northeast Texas, my partner and I had an unpleasant surprise when the transmission in the van decided to not work anymore. After several hours waiting on the roadside in the dark followed by an expensive tow, we were able to get to a safe place in Longview, more than 300 miles from home. As it turned out, the transmission needed to be replaced. To say that this was not in the budget is an understatement. Thanks to the generosity of a few friends, after several days we were able to get back on the road and home to Oklahoma, but the expense has left me unable to cover several bills coming due, including phone and car insurance, and in danger of losing the contents of my storage unit. I am a musician, and I've had to resort to putting some instruments and gear into pawn. Absolutely anything will be helpful at this point. Thanks to anyone who can help in any way.
