Campaign Story
This fundraiser will help to build up the existing school infrastructure in Indonesia, by bringing in metal shelves or better quality wood that will not corrode from termites. This school is about 6hours away by train from Jakarta.
Termite nest can be seen above and below..
Library books are outdated... mostly 1990s and 2000s.
And we also will be buying more recently printed books, mostly local culture, crafts and food recipes to ignite reading with the kids in the school.
The school itself does not have much funds to allocate for the library since it is located in village, and a few hours from the main city state itself.
Last but not least, we hope to bring in air cooler (not air conditioner!) to the library. As it is humid, and hot in the country and village side. So the air cooler is eco friendly and does not increase the electricity bill of the school. We have thought of solar energy but it's too expensive at the moment.
Please help to support this upgrading of the school library. It is a few hours from the city state and really in need to inspire the students and school by sharing that we care for them.
Below shows the library books are in poor condition, due to wear and tear used many years.
Kindly share with your friends and help.
Thank you.
Best Regards and Sincerely,
Edric
