Unreal Engine 5 – Building new capable PC

Hello dear all!

My name is Jan, I'm a 37 year old self-educating 3D graphic designer, constantly working on self-skill improvements in this fascinating world of computer graphics. For many past years and many years to come I dive into techniques of architectural design, 3D design, 3D modeling and other graphic work on my own as a casual hobbyist due deep passion and fascination within this area of computers. Last decade my work and dreams were mostly realized thanks to Epic's amazing Unreal Engine 4. But telling that wouldn't be fair toward's Blender and SketchUp as well!

With the announce of new Epic's "Unreal Engine 5" planned to be released next year I realized I will need a serious hardware upgrade for my desktop PC system to match hardware requirements to fullfill engine's needs for fluent work. Since the current desktop system is already quite obsolete, core is build on hardware bought back in 2014, I will not be ready on day-launch to continue my work using this new amazing next generation engine. For that cause I'd like to ask for public support so I can build a new, powerfull desktop PC system and stay on tier. As I mostly work on non-profitable projects and all is set as hobby to raise my skills, knowledge and to create something amazing, I found this upgrade is quite out of my financial reach. For that reason I'm starting this campaing to try to raise enough funds for this major system upgrade. There is relativelly enough time before the new engine gets released, but better be prepared!

My goal is to build a new system based on upcoming AMD ZEN 3 desktop platform (upcomming Fall 2020) before the new generation of Unreal engine gets released. What I need is primary reach into high end CPU segment providing enough computation power capable to allow me fluently working within this new engine's environment. The base need is high end CPU with high computation power and the fastest available memory capable transfering enormous volume of data. All this in the well balanced formula of "price X capabilities". This new engine is going to build mostly around live data streaming off memory, thus no more old mechanical hard drives.

Since I lack professional eduation in architectural and 3D design, it's quite impossible for me to find relevant job in this area. I don't have the right "proof of eligibility" (read university diploma) to get necessary fundings for this project by myself. But that's ok. For as long as I can continue realizing my dreams not even for profit but just for the pure good feel and vibe this work gives me and others I make this for, all will be great :)
