University Tuition

To whom it may concern,

My name is Thando Gwatyu, a 25 year old Politics and International Relations 2nd year student at the University of Johannesburg. Born and bred in King Williams Town but have lived my whole life on the outskirts of Cape Town, Khayelitsha. Raised by a single mother on an informal remuneration of R6000 a month, currently in a household with 3 siblings still in high school and our adopted cousin.

I currently am financially excluded from the University due to owing R103359,06 please see attached screenshot of my financial statement. I have tried applying for financial aid(NSFAS) but unfortunately because my mother is not able to provide a payslip my application was denied. By finding a job and fundraising, I have been able to pay off some of the debt however this has not been enough to afford me access back to school.

I am a hard working student, who just does not have the resources to complete my degree. I beseech you to assist with paying off my historical debt so I am able to graduate, this to assist me but more my family as I am the eldest and currently my mother’s only hope.
